Something daring. Pt 2.

Remember that sweater we dyed? Well... haha. We'll get back to that later.

Right now you need the following:

Oh, and one more thing. COMMON SENSE! If you bring this to the table, your sweater has every chance of looking better than mine does. ;)

Now. Let's get this show on the road. Grab your scissors and cut. Yes, cut right down the middle of your pullover sweater. Pin sides under, appropriately. In other words, fold back as much as you like...you decide. But, when you're done it should look something like this:

Please make sure you change the stitch size and tension correctly for the consistency of your fabric.

And SEW!

Now it's time to make use of that bias tape you bought for less than $2. Pin on to sweater...making sure the edge JUST covers the edge of your now-cardigan. Like so:

Sew on...going all the way around the bias tape.

Because I didn't think ahead, and put the bias tape all the way around the sweater like this:

I simply glued some more bias tape on the inside of the sweater for a more finished look. However, since you brought your brain with you to this project...your cardigan will look much nicer.

Moving on...
I decided to attach a little bias-tape-bow to my sweater to add some interest and funk! How cute is this?

Annnnd done!
